A forum where design had to keep every party at the table.
In Doha, an international mediation forum brought governments and corporations into one room. Rissala Design built the brand platform — identity, presentation materials and environmental graphics calibrated for diplomatic neutrality and quiet authority.
The challenge
Diplomacy is design’s hardest audience. The identity had to read with equal dignity in Arabic and English, favour no party, photograph well beside flags and heads of delegations, and lend authority to every document it touched.
There was no room for decoration for its own sake — every element had to earn its place, in the way a well-run negotiation does.
The approach
We designed restraint. A measured typographic system rooted in the proportions of Arabic calligraphy, a disciplined palette, and bilingual layouts where neither language leads and neither follows — each set with equal weight and care.
The same system scaled from delegate badges and presentation decks to podium graphics, stage backdrops and wayfinding across the venue.
The delivery
A complete platform: event identity, stationery and credential system, presentation and document templates, stage and podium environments, and venue graphics — produced to protocol standards for governmental and corporate audiences.
